Privacy Policy for the FutureScholar Planner Mobile App

This Privacy Policy describes how PDS Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") handles user information within the FutureScholar Planner mobile application (the "App"). We are committed to transparency and the protection of your privacy.
Our Core Privacy Commitment
This FutureScholar Planner mobile app is stand-alone. It does not log in to your RESP or any financial accounts. All user data entered in this app stay within it on your device, and none of them goes out of your device. We do not collect, transmit, or share any of your user input data entered in this app.
1. Information We Do Not Collect
The App is designed with a strong focus on data minimization.
User Input Data: We do not collect, store, or transmit any data you enter into the App. These data remain solely on your device.
Financial Account Information: The App does not connect to, access, or store credentials for any bank accounts, financial institutions, or RESP accounts.
Sensitive Information: We do not collect any personal information.
2. Non-Personal Information Google Play May Collect
While your input data is private to your device, standard Google Play operation may collect limited, anonymized technical data for operational purposes, such as crash reporting.
App Usage Data: We use anonymized, aggregated third-party analytics (e.g., Google Firebase Analytics, Google Play crash reports) to understand how the App is performing, diagnose bugs, and improve user experience. This data is general device information (device type, operating system version, crash logs) and does not contain or link back to your personal planning information.
No Third-Party Access to User Input Data: Since we do not collect your input data, no data is shared with third parties for their use.
3. Data Storage and Security
The user data you input is stored locally on your mobile device.
On-Device Storage: Your personal planning data is stored within the app's local storage mechanism on your device. This data is subject to the security of your device's operating system (e.g., iOS or Android encryption measures).
4. Your Choices and Rights
You have complete control over your data within the App.
Data Deletion: You can delete all your data simply by uninstalling the App from your device. The data is removed automatically when the application is deleted.
Opt-Out Rights: You can stop all collection of non-personal usage data simply by uninstalling the App.
5. Age Requirement and Children's Privacy
This App is intended solely for individuals who are 18 years of age and older.
We do not market the App to children under the age of 18. As stated in Section 1, all user input data remains exclusively on the user’s device, and we do not receive or store it.
Therefore, PDS Inc. does not possess the mechanisms to verify a user's age or have access to any data entered by a minor within the app. We encourage parents and guardians to monitor their children's app usage and device permissions.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date". You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes are effective when they are posted on this page.
